Thule support Olympic hopefuls in the UK

Thule's Ltd is proud to support Olympic hopefuls through its Partner in Sport programme. Current Olympic and Youth Olympic hopefuls on the programme include: Apline Ski Racers Kelly Greenbank and Robert Poth, Cyclist Melissa Bury, Sailor Freddie Chiddicks, Quadrathlete Josh Hook and latest edition: the current World and European Kayak Champion Ed McKeever.

Alpine skiers Kelly Greenbank and Robert Poth, aged 15 and 14 respectively are among the top skiers in Great Britain. Kelly who has been skiing since the age of 5 is part of the Great Britain children's Ski team and is working hard to reach World cup status. Robert has also represented Great Britain and is the number one ski racer in his year of age in the super giant slalom, giant slalom and slalom.

17 year old Melissa Bury is a talented cyclist in many disciplines including track, road, mountain, hill climbing, cyclocross and grass track. She currently holds the National women's roller racing record and is part of the track team that won the inter regional championships title in 2010. Looking to the future she wishes to improve and build on her already successful cycling career to date.

Freddie Chiddicks aged 14, is already representing Great Britain as a junior sailor, and recently finished 3rd overall in the Topper winter regatta where 220+ boats from the UK and Ireland competed. His winter training programme is paying off and he continues to strengthen his competitive ambitions to compete in the Olympics.

16 year old, quadrathlete, Josh Hook is the current under 23 National Champion as well as World Junior Champion. Josh was put forward for support by the British Quadrathlete Association (BQA) along with two other BQA athletes. Thule has successfully supported BQA for a number of years and is excited to see the latest rising star in Josh being nominated for support through the Partner in Sport Programme.

The latest edition to the Thule Partner in Sport Programme is 27 year old Ed McKeever. Ed is the current World and European Kayak Champion over 200 meters. He is listed in the BBC's Olympic one to watch guide for the 200m Kayak event and is already a dominating force in his sport.
