The Thule FreeRide is one of our most sold bike racks. There are several reasons as to why the 532 FreeRide is a popular model.

For the beginner cyclists to whom are only going to take their bikes for a leisure ride, is the FreeRide a great step in model.

While larger families benefit from it's compact width at only 21 cm. This enables multiple bike carriers to be mounted on top of the roof or a combination of bike carriers and a roof box.

The Thule FreeRide can be fitted on Thule bars and also on BMW, Mercedes or other manufacturer branded bars. The only requirements for other manufacturer bars is that you need a T-Slot, a T-Slot is a grove located inside the aerodynamic bars like the image below.

If your slots measure 21 mm than the included T-Track bolts can be used. If you have lost these T-Bolts there is no need to be alarmed spare parts can be easily ordered from our spare parts for Thule 532 FreeRide page, if you have slots that are 25 mm wide you will need a T-Track Adapter 889-3 (not included when buying the FreeRide). Simply look at the image below to find out where to measure the slots.

The FreeRide 532 can be mounted on all Thule bars without the need to buy any extra adapters, the bars that can be used with the carrier are SquareBars, AeroBars, WingBars, WingBar Edge and SlideBars.

Down tube frames can be fitted with a minimum diameter of 22 mm and a maximum of 70 mm for oval frames and 65 mm wide and 80 mm high maximum dimensions for oval framed tubes.
