GoSoft - 'D'GoSoft snow socks offer a simple, low cost, user friendly solution for increased traction on snow and ice covered roads. Being conveniently supplied in a small handy bag, they can be kept in the car's boot in readiness for the winter months. While not a snow chain equivalent, GoSoft snow socks fully comply with the legal requirements in most European countries where it is mandatory to carry winter equipment in your vehicle, such as alpine roads marked by the classic 'Snow Chain' signs, indicating that vehicles are required by law to be equipped with snow chains in order to proceed. *

GoSoft snow socks are designed to be used on normal roads with moderate slopes and will give excellent traction compared with a car fitted with summer tyres, making them ideal for use on the majority of UK roads. Whether driving along a country lane, a side street or even a main highway that is covered in snow, a pair of GoSoft snow socks can be fitted quickly and easily to the tyres and might just save your journey and get you safely to your destination. As with all types of traction aids, driving on snow and ice is not the same as driving on tarmac so you should adapt your driving with caution and care.
The principle of GoSoft snow socks is based on friction generated between the special technical "FlowTex" fabric material and the snow/ice on the road resulting in adhesion formed between the socks and the road. This simple phenomenon is the basis of GoSoft technology.
Snow socks in general offer considerably increased traction and grip on snow and ice when compared to a car using normal summer tyres. However, a pair of good quality snow chains from leading manufacturers such as Konig or Weissenfels will always be better, even more so in extreme conditions. GoSoft snow socks are a much cheaper alternative to snow chains and are ready to use without any adjustment being necessary. GoSoft snow socks are totally smooth running making driving more comfortable, reducing stress and tiredness for driver and passengers.
GoSoft tyre socks are really simple and quick to fit and take off. Simply stretch them over the tyre, move forwards (or backwards) half a revolution of the tyre and then slip the remainder over the top of the tyre. That's all there is too it, you are now ready to continue your journey!
