The name Thule was named after its Swedish-born founder, Erik Thulin. Eric was a Swedish farmer, who started manufacturing specialized fishing equipment from his little farmhouse up in the mountains just over 70 years ago in 1942, quickly making a name for himself producing many other things - pike traps!

Since then, benefiting from the enormous global economic boom, Thule has expanded its dominance within the motor industry and leisure sectors  to meet the demands from the huge growth of world wide  domestic automobile industry and the ever increasing popularity of outdoor leisure activities.

The Swedish manufacturer claims to be now outright market leaders with a huge range of products that incorporate incomparable sturdiness and sleek ground braking modern designs.
