THULE SlideBar Roof Bar 891, 892 & 893

The unique new Thule SlideBar is without doubt one of the most innovative products that Thule have produced so far!. If you can't reach to the centre of the car roof – No problem just simply release the catches and pull the bars out to each side of the roof. What's more the bars slide out from either side of the vehicle up to 60cm.

There are many extra benefits having Thule SideBars instead of normal roof bars. Loading and unloading items such as cycles, mountain bikes, kayaks & canoes, single handed, is now a distinct possibility.

As well as making loading & unloading a truly simple operation, your clothes are also protected from getting dirty and the vehicle from getting scratched, since it is no longer necessary to reach over the car body.

Thule SlideBars are supplied with self-lockable end plugs, which allow the top bar to click into the base bar as it slides into its final position. For safety there is a coloured tab that indicates the open position. As an added safety feature the end plug is equipped with a lock that cannot be locked when the bar is in the incorrect position.

As for all Thule products safety is the top priority. The Thule SlideBar has a maximum load carrying capacity of 90kgs and has been City Crash tested and approved by the TUV (German Safety Monitoring Agency)

Thule SlideBars are available in three lengths, 127cm, 144cm & 162cm. Although it is possible to fit wider SlideBars than with conventional roof bars, it is important, for legal and safety reasons that the SlideBars do not protrude wider than a vehicle's overall body width.
