Carrying an amazing 520 litres, the Excellence will easily swallow a family's luggage and more! In order to protect the Excellence when stored, Thule includes a special roof covering that simply stretches over the top lid. Internal and external handles are provided to make lifting and lowering the lid as a simple and smooth operation as possible and four power clicks enable fitting to the roof bars in seconds. There is even an integrated base mat and internal luggage straps to prevent items from sliding around on the floor. Dual-Side Opening

A patented Thule feature, enables the box to be opened from both sides of the roof. This not only mean easy loading and access to the load, but also greatly facilitates mounting of the roofbox.

Central Locking

Each roof box has several locking points, for safety and theft protection. The central locking has a safety feature means that the key can only be removed if all locking points are securely closed.

Internal Lid Straps

With handles on the lid and inside the box, for convenient opening and closing.

Diffuser Technology

Longitudinal air channels and a spoiler on the box base minimizes air resistance, wind noise and vibrations. A technology developed by Formula One Cars.

Integrated Base Mat

Comes with an integrated base mat with non-slip surface for extra secure loading.

Dual-Force Lid Openers

A patented spring system that makes it easier to open and close the lid of the box in a smooth motion.

Power-Click

Thule's unique, patented quick-mount system for fitting a roofbox in seconds - safely and easily. Equipped with a torque indicator for the securest possible fixation. Grip claws are tightened around the load bar as four knobs inside the box are turned. The complete fitting is done in a matter of minutes. The grip claws are self-centering over the load bar as they are closed, for maximum security and ease of use. Fitting load bars up to 80 mm width.

Full Tailgate Opening

Designed for having a forwarded position on the car roof. Enabling full access to the trunk without interference with the roofbox.

Protective Lid Cover

Includes a custom-fit washable lid cover to protect the box from scratches and dust during storage.

Inset Roof Bar Positions

The Thule Excellence has front and rear inset roof bar positions to reduce the overall height and increase the aerodynamic efficiency.
