The answer to this depends totally on the kind and size of skis you have. For instance modern parabolic carvers are much wider than traditional slalom skis or of course cross country skis. Snowboards obviously take up quite a bit of space and many modern skis have extra high bindings which need raised ski carriers such as the Thule Snowpro 748. For the purpose of our calculations all specified ski capacities are based on a ski width of approximately 10cm for each ski.
