Thule ProRide - The optimum cycle carrier

The very best has got even better with the Thule 591 ProRide roof mounted cycle carrier! Its stylish aluminium frame offers greater stability and a truly smart design.
It is so simple to use having a self-adjusting frame holder which allows you to load and unload a bike in an instant, with all securing done at car roof height. Just place the bike on to the aluminium tray, lift the frame holder into place, twist the tension knob and connect the quick release wheel straps and you are ready to go.   The curved shape of the tray is not only a design feature; it has a really useful purpose to make fitting as simple as possible. Simply place the front wheel on the "downhill" slope and the bike automatically rolls into position and rests against the frame holder. An added advantage of the ProRide is it self adjusts to fit the cycle's down tube and because of its protective rubber coating, it cannot not damage the bike. Security is provided by two locks - one to lock the bike to the carrier and one to lock the carrier to the roof bar.

How many cycles can I fit?

Q. Will the ProRide be suitable for my bike?

A. The ProRide fits all wheel sizes and frame down tubes up to 100mm deep x 80mm wide and round down tubes between 22 and 80mm diameter.

Q. Will the ProRide be suitable for my roof bars?

A. The ProRide is supplied with two sets of brackets, one set to fit around rectangular shaped roof bars up to a maximum of 65mm wide and the other to fit directly into the Thule aero bars T-Tracks. (Extra T-Bolt adapters are available for BMW & Mercedes roof bars with T-Tracks)

The Thule 530 will fit most cycle frame sizes. It offers easy quick mounting with no loose parts to lose! Two matching locks are provided, one to secure the cycle to the FreeRide and the other to lock the FreeRide to the roof bar as shown below.



The brackets supplied with the 530 FreeRide fit around Thule square and aero bars. There are also optionial T-Track adapters available to fit directly to Thule roof bar T-Track slots.

How many cycles can I fit?

Q. Will the FreeRide be suitable for my bike?

A. The FreeRide fits bikes with every wheel dimension. If fits frame sizes with down tubes between 22mm and 70mm with a maximum overall oval tube dimension of 65mm x 80mm. The wheel straps are adjustable for all sizes of wheels.

Q. Will the FreeRide be suitable for my roof bars?

A. The FreeRide is supplied with brackets to fit around square and aero bars. If required, extra adapters are available to enable the FreeRide to fit directly to the aero bars T-Tracks.

The 561 OutRide fork mounted cycle carrier is favoured by professional racing cyclists and for those whom want to carry their bikes in the most stable way possible. Advantages are a lower centre of gravity, less windage and fitting several bikes where space is at a premium. Of course you need to put the front wheel somewhere but Thule have thought of that by offering a choice of a foldaway wheel holder or a wheel bag for carrying in the car. The 561 OutRide is suitable for all types of bike frames including mountain bikes fitted with disc brakes and carbon fibre forks. An easy snap on fastener allows ultra quick fitting and security is provided by two matching locks.
